Flashback arrestors (FBAs) are safety devices for oxy-fuel systems that stop a flame from travelling back into hoses, regulators, or cylinders. They combine a non-return (check) valve with a flame-arresting element—and often thermal cut-off/pressure relief—to block reverse flow and extinguish flashbacks instantly. Fitted at the torch and/or regulator on both oxygen and fuel lines, they protect operators and equipment, ensuring safer, more stable cutting and welding. Suitable for O₂, LPG/acetylene, and mixed-gas setups.
